Somewhere in Europe there is Romania and somewhere in Romania there is Transylvania, where one can find and taste the famous liquor Zetea of Transylvania. 

Over many generations, the Zetea family has been producing natural distilled fruit liquors, using traditonal boilers mounted over direct fire and continuously improving the original method while maintaining its traditional character.

After 1990 Silviu Zetea reorganized the family business and updated the technology, aiming at passing the secret of the "Zetea" method to the next generations. 

For the first time in the family history the "Zetea of Transilvania" brand became a great national and international success and was awarded many distinctions, such as the Silver medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles in 2001. 

The handmade, traditional character of the production as well as its seasonality confers Zetea products a special quality, that is also reflected in the notes which many distinguished guests left in our Book of Honour. 

The product has been positionned as a luxury brand and is consequently used in Romania in top level international meetings and in diplomatic encounters, but it is also appreciated in many corners of the world.

Tasting of Fruit Liquor @ Zetea Workshops

Tastings of Plum Brandy, Cherry Brandy and other liquors made from fruit and berries are organized at the Zetea Workshops for groups of 6 or more. 

A selection of 4-6 liquors is usually available and is served in 20ml shots.

• Shots + traditional cold cuts (pork sausages, ham, bacon, lard, beef & sheep cheese, fresh vegetables or pickels) - 19 € / person
• Shots + traditional cold cuts + hot dish cooked in cauldron over open fire + polenta + house made, plum jam-filled lard pie - 29 € / person
